Treatment is one thing, preventing further damage is another important step that cannot be missed. For side sleepers especially, much of the night is spent with the skin of the upper chest compressed into deep furrows and lines for 6-8 hours continuously. Sio skin pads are re-usable silicone patches that hold the skin in a flat position to reduce etching of these lines and wrinkles into the skin.
A décolletage can reveal a woman’s age just as easily as her neck & hands; think crinkly chests, lines between the cleavage, and the dreaded age spots. After the eye area, the décolletage is the most prone to aging on the body; it's more delicate than our complexion as it doesn’t produce as much oil in women due to fewer hair follicles when compared with men. It's one of the first places to develop wrinkles due to the stresses on the skin from movement, the weight of the breasts, the folding that occurs when sleeping to one side, and chronic exposure to UV light. Sculptra, Poly-L Lactic Acid, is a type of filler that works to rejuvenate the décolleté by stimulating our body’s natural collagen production. It's a powdered down version of the same suture material that has been used for decades to close wounds. When the powder is pre-mixed with sterile water and injected under the skin, it acts as seeds that stimulate growth of collagen and elastin. As with Novathreads, this similar mechanism of response serves to strengthen and re-establish the firmness of the skin which resists folding and wrinkling, resulting in a more youthful décolletage appearance. Completed through a series of treatments (usually 3 treatments, each 6 weeks apart), Sculptra lessens the appearance of skin irregularities and lines in the v-shaped area of the chest!

Laser Genesis treatments use 1064 laser wavelengths to pulse in such a way that stimulates collagen and elasting which in turn firm the skin, resulting in fewer wrinkles and lines. The 1064 laser wavelength also reduces pigmentations and superficial vessels in the skin- conditions typically associated with early skin damage and aging. Novathreads (polydioxanone) are resorbable suture threads that are loaded onto small needles to carry it under the skin. Once placed there, the threads stimulate the natural production of elastin and collagen by the body continuously for 6 months until dissolved. Re-establishing a firmer skin, the skin will be less collapsable which results in a decrease of wrinkles in this area, without any cuts or incisions. These threads can also be used in many other parts of the body such as the face, jaw, neck, décolletage areas as well as the lower body such as the abdomen, buttocks, and knees. With use of numbing, this procedure is painless.

CUTERA
The Cutera Excel V laser is one of the most advanced lasers on the market today. It combines a unique design, with two wavelengths, 532 and 1064, which can be adjusted to specifically treat individual vessels and pigmentations better than most other lasers. TOPICAL CREAMS
